Handbuilding Pottery

In this handbuilding class you will learn the basics of forming pottery by hand. Starting with pinch pots, you can explore the vast flexibility of clay forming from pinch pots to slab building and multiple forms in between. This laid back class is a great way to get started in clay or to build on previous experiences. 
Class will spend 4 weeks on new projects and 2 weeks finishing and glazing work.
 
All 6 week classes include: use of tools, 25 lbs. of clay, bisque and cone 10 reduction firing, and open studio time to practice, alternating Saturday or Sunday (12-4pm) throughout the 6 weeks of class. Available open studio dates will be published on the JBCP website calendar. All students are expected to follow studio policies as outlined in class and posted in the studio.
